With the same text and similar instrumentation, a score in Dresden

contains a different version of this aria, with more elaborate clarinet

in their settings of Metastasio's La Passione:

Paisiello: Giovanni “Dovunque il guardo giro”

Lucchesi: Giuseppe “Torbido mar che freme”.
